Functional TESTING
Functional Testing
Although not mandatory for all patients, undergoing functional testing can provide valuable insights that enhance your treatment. Test kits will be conveniently dispatched via Australia post, allowing you to collect the required sample (urine, stool, blood) and send it to the lab. The test results will be directly communicated to your practitioner, prompting a follow-up consultation to discuss the findings. It's important to note that these tests are only available to our patients based in Australia. Below are our top 3 tests, please enquire here for other tests.
Hormonal Health Testing — $399
The DUTCH test (dried urine sample) can help to identify hormonal imbalances that contribute to menstrual irregularities, fatigue, hormonal acne, low libido, mood disturbances, weight gain and sleep disturbances. This comprehensive test assesses levels of key hormones and metabolites, including cortisol, cortisone, cortisol metabolites, progesterone, androgens (testosterone), oestrogens, melatonin and organic acids. By analysing these biomarkers, we gain valuable insights into your hormonal profile, enabling us to develop a targeted treatment approach.
Gut Health Testing — $399
Poor gut health can contribute to fatigue, hormonal imbalances, headaches, immune dysfunction and more. The Complete Microbiome Mapping test (stool sample) helps to identify causes of digestive symptoms including bloating, diarrhoea, constipation and abdominal pain. This test can identify parasites / worms, opportunistic bacteria, fungi / yeast, bacterial pathogens, viral pathogens, and beneficial bacteria. It also allows us to evaluate gastrointestinal tract markers, including Faecal Occult Blood, Calprotectin, Pancreatic Elastase, sIgA, Zonulin, and b-glucuronidase. By analysing these markers, we gain valuable insights into your gut health status and develop a targeted treatment plan to restore balance and optimise your overall well-being.
Food Intolerance Testing — $294 - $329
The IgG 96 Food Intolerance test (blood spot or blood draw test) is designed to help identify and manage adverse reactions to specific foods, herbs and spices. By detecting IgG antibodies produced in response to certain food proteins, this test can aid in identifying potential triggers for various symptoms and conditions. The results can provide insights into food intolerances that may be contributing to digestive issues, inflammation, skin problems, fatigue, headaches and other related symptoms. With this information, we can recommend appropriate dietary modifications to support your recovery and overall well-being.
